How to add a sub-domain

FTP/CPanel

This tutorial will tell you how to add a sub-domain using CPanel.

First off, go to yoursite.com/cpanel, type in your username and password. It will take you to your CPanel.

Scroll down the page untill you come to a heading saying 'domain', click 'sub-domains'.

You will then come to another screen this is where you type in the name of the sub-domain. Where it says 'Document root' just leave it blank, when you click 'create' it will automaticly make a root.

Now you are done with the sub domain, but you need to go back to 'home page' and where it says 'files' click on 'FTP accounts'. You need to create an FTP account for your sub-domain. Create a log in and password for your sub-domain Make sure the log in and the name of the sub-domain are the same!!! This is so both directories are the same. Other wise it wont work.

Now click create and your done! You can log into your sub-domain using the password and log in you just created.
